Loving Choices Pregancy Center is a great ministry that helps young women deal with unexpected pregnancies. The hearts of the people who work with this organization are HUGE, and it is so neat to meet people who have gone through their ministry. About a month ago I got the pleasure of meeting sweet Nancy. She was 36 weeks pregnant and her water broke right after we got done with her shoot! You should have seen us walking all over Downtown Fayetteville! We looked so funny waddling down the street! I wish I would have found someone to take our picture! I hope you enjoy these! What a great testimony to Loving Choices!

Ok, I have been saving up my shoot post from the past month and a half so I would have things to post when I was on maternity leave. That time is here, and I am super excited to start these posts! I have been trying to shoot something everyday (minus the couple weeks where I was very preggo or a new mamma) just to try to really understand exposure and work on my post processing. It has been really fun, and I am really falling in love with photography and it's technical aspects.

First of all, here is my sweet baby, Asa Joy. She is so precious, and it has been really fun to learn some newborn shooting techniques while using my own little lovie!

I will continue with my post of Nancy's maternity shoot tomorrow. She was super fun, and I got some of the best maternity shots I've ever taken. Check back!!!!

The past three weeks...

I have been a really terrible blogger after I really stuck with it for a couple weeks! I have to admit, keeping up with a blog is really hard for me. First of all, teaching is uber time demanding. I work "part" time, which in teaching just means that I am only in the classroom a few days a week, but the work load is still really demanding. At this point in my life, teaching comes before photography. I have been super blessed by the opportunity to have a creative outlet in photography, and I fully realize that my business doesn't quite get the attention it needs because of my "real" job! I love teaching. I love my kiddos. I love my school. I love my coworkers. (P.S.... My teaching partner, Rhonda, has to be the most awesome partner/friend ever. She is really making my life easy in getting ready to take the rest of the year off to spend time with my new little sweetness, Asa. Thanks for being so wonderful, Rhonda!!!!)

That being said, the past three weeks have consisted of finalizing grades, report cards, and getting ready for state testing. All of that is quite time demanding! On top of all that, my sweet little girl Asa will be born sometime this week. My parents were way awesome in coming all the way from Washington to help us get her room ready! How great are they?!? Even though I had Eli only 19 months ago, I forgot how long it takes to get ready for a new little one! Between washing clothes, painting, rearranging, etc., who has time for anything besides that! Do you see why I never get any sleep?????

Somewhere in between all of that, I found time for about six shoots, two invitation creations, a graduation announcement creation, and a thank you note creation! Slowly but surely, these posts will happen! I am going to start today with a super cute baby named Landon. His mama and I work together and she needed a few current shots of him for Baby Dedication at their church. These were literally taken right outside the school building. The lighting was PERFECT and I will probably do some baby shoots there in the future! Ha! Anyways, enjoy the shots of cute baby Landon!

First of all, I have no idea why all of my pics pictures look over exposed on here, because this is not what they look like on my computer when I am editing... hopefully when I switch everything over to my new blog, it won't be this way! Anyways, the pics are cute nonetheless!

Traci works for Loving Choices of Northwest Aarkansas, and she helps women make informed decisions about an unplanned pregnancy. They love these girls soooo much and after shooting some of them, I hear the heart of their ministry becoming the heart of these girls! I am so thankful for their ministry and for Traci's heart in guiding these women.

When Olivia Came to Visit...

About every week, two of my best friends come over to hang out, eat, and talk about Jesus. Their names are Dayna and Whitney. Whitney brought a little surprise for us this past week: Olivia. First of all, I LOVE bulldogs. If it wasn't for their price tag, I would have one right now! Whitney isn't actually the owner of Olivia, she's actually Olivia's aunt. I just knew that Eli would have so much fun with Olivia while the three of us chatted and ate. Well, let's just say that things didn't quite go as smoothly as we thought. This is mainly because Eli wanted to play with his "putball" without the help of Olivia. Problem was, Olivia REALLY wanted to play "putball" with Eli.

Isn't she so cute? How could Eli NOT love her???

What do I even need to say about him???? He's just so stinkin' cute! Olivia should LOVE him! Boy did she! Only Eli isn't the touchy feely kind of guy...

Some of my best buddies, Dayna and Whitney. Whitney is Olivia's aunt. Eli calls Dayna "DiDi" and Whitney "Itty". Everyone looks like they are having fun, right??? Olivia even wanted to show Eli how much she appreciated his letting her play "putball" with him... too bad it wasn't really appreciated by Eli!

So maybe Eli doesn't love Olivia as much as Olivia loves Eli... sigh... welcome to life, my son.

The volleyball got involved, too. If it is round and you can hit, kick, throw, or catch it, Eli wants to play with it. I guess it's in his blood... (I actually met Dayna and Whitney during our time as Razorback softball players. My hubby, Caleb, is a former Razorback football player.)

These girls really love my sweet baby! I am so thankful to have people in my life who love my kiddos also!

It wasn't a bad night for Olivia, after all... She found someone to play with her by the end of the night!

Seth and Lisa Engagement Pics

Seth and Lisa are getting married in June and after rescheduling two times, we finally got to shoot! I am so excited to be a part of their big day... Lisa is completely gorgeous... Can't wait to do her bridals!

Seth and Lisa met at the Wine Cellar on a blind date and so we went and shot some there. This is the booth where they first met! How fun is that??!!

This is my sweet friend from work and her precious family. Baby L is 10 weeks old and this is actually our second shoot. I am learning some new indoor lighting techniques and they graciously volunteered to be models. November was a CRAZY busy month and blogging was the last thing on my mind... hopefully by this weekend I will have all of my latest shoots posted for you to see! I have been posting on Facebook quite a bit more, so everyone is getting sneak peeks at their photos still. I have also bought a new website and I am hoping to have that finished by the end of the month. Keep checking back!

Thanks so much for making 2009 such a successful year for my business! Everyone was such a blessing to work with! Referrals are key in this business and any would be greatly appreciated. I will be taking all of April and most of May off due to the newest addition of our family, Asa, who will be here sometime the first two weeks of April. I have been so blessed to stay really busy this summer.
